Texting taking toll on teenager's anxiety levels

Watching drivers texting while in traffic and complaints from college professors about inattentive students, I found this article of interest.

Greetings and Salutations! New Practice Location, New Colleagues, and a Blog

I added this blog as a link to my medical website to add more functionality and immediacy to the process of getting new information out to my patients, potential patients, and anyone sitting up late at night trolling the net. Let me begin by announcing that, effective June 1, 2009, my psychiatric practice will be moving to newly renovated digs!

While each of us has our own individual practices, I am excited to begin working with a cohesive, diverse, and experienced group of physicians, psychologists, and a social worker. Three of us are psychoanalysts; others specialize in eating disorders, work with adolescent boys and girls, and the list goes on. Psychotherapy can be an isolating endeavor as a profession, so I am most excited to begin this interactive journey with each of my colleagues. Probably the greatest compliment that I can give this group came from a recent dinner that we had- I sat around with seven other psychotherapists that were fun, laughed, and seemed so damned "normal" to hang with! In a later blog entry, I will list them all for you to use as a resource to further enhance this journey of life that we each share.

Finally, from time to time, I'll add articles I find interesting and informative. As I hate to type, you'll most likely find links to the articles, with minimal comment. However, I hope that each of you might bring in your thoughts and reactions to the articles.
